Construction of 1.5 kilometres of Viaduct running from Preston’s Road to the Lower Lea Crossing with the inclusion of the Blackwall Platform Station and East India Platform Station.

Construction of Piers and Viaducts.

Construction of the Lower Lea Crossing was carried out using the Balanced Cantilever solution. The bridge consisted of four spans. Each span measured 30m in length. 2 number sections consisting 3m each in length sections were cast in a seven day strip and erect cycle.

Construction of the track slab measuring 3 kilometres in total.

  • 14,800.00 cu m concrete
  • 3,800.00 tn reinforcement
  • 310 tn powder coated steel reinforcement to the track slabs
  • 11,700.00m2 of Formwork
