McBrine’s have acquired a reputation in the industry as a specialist in reinforced concrete structures.
We have completed a wide range of projects, from traditional methods of construction through to the more specialised steel shuttering including:
- Tunnel form (Woodhill Prison, Milton Keynes)
- Slipform, balanced cantilever (River Lea Docklands Light Railway and River Taw bridge Barnstaple Bypass)
- Push launch structures (Broadmeadow Estuary, Northern Motorway Contract 1, Eire)
- Nuclear Civils works (NDE Facility, Rolls Royce, Derby and A91 Building, AWE, Aldermaston)
- Railtrack works (Reading Station RSAR Redevelopment Temporary Platform 10, Birmingham New Street Station Redevelopment)
- Waste Incinerator facilities(Premier Waste UK Ltd, Birmingham Depot)
- Petro Chemical and Marine works (RWE Hythe, Southampton Steam Turbine Plant and Chevron Kingsbury Oil Terminal)
Major contracts have been completed on a labour only basis plus labour, plant and temporary materials basis as well as full package with all permanent materials supplied. Other contracts have also included the groundworks package.
McBrine’s are actively committed to rigorous and effective safety policies with our own safety officer ensuring that agreed Health and Safety procedures are followed on all projects.
We also ensure that contractors Quality Assurance programmes are closely followed throughout the project.
As a company we are ISO 9001 2015 certified, Achilles registered, CHAS registered and Constructionline.
Through years of experience on major large scale contracts, we are able to mobilise an extensive skilled workforce and specialist equipment, ensuring that the projects are completed on schedule. Projects run smoothly not least because of the close involvement of the Directors. Our practical experience plus professional project management ensure excellent on-site liaison with the main contractor.
We have a reputation for reliability, consistently achieving programme dates even when projects are complicated or problematic. Our flexibility and access to resources at short notice have, on many projects, meant achieving programme dates that seemed impossible.
We have also carried out works overseas on an international level, specialising in both the German and Irish sub-contracting markets where we successfully operated for several years for leading construction companies such as Philip Holzmann, Strabag, E Heitkamp and BAM Group Contractors respectively.
